UNIT – I<br />

RECTIFIERS:<br />

Diode as a Rectifier, Half wave, Full wave <strong>and</strong> Bridge Rectifiers without filter <strong>and</strong><br />

with inductor filter, Capacitor filter, L section <strong>and</strong> π - section filters.<br />

UNIT – II<br />

TRANSISTOR AMLIFIERS:<br />

Hybrid parameter model <strong>of</strong> transistor, Determination <strong>of</strong> h parameters from<br />

Characteristics, Measurement <strong>of</strong> h parameters, Analysis <strong>of</strong> transistor amplifier using<br />

h Parameter model, Millers theorem, High input resistance circuits – Darlington pair,<br />

Boot Strapped Darlington pair, Cascode transistor amplifier, Emitter coupled<br />

difference amplifier, Other transistor models – re model <strong>and</strong> T model.<br />

UNIT – III<br />

TRANSISTOR AT HIGH FREQUENCIES:<br />

Hybrid model <strong>of</strong> transistor, CE short circuit current gain, CE current gain with<br />

Resistive load, Single stage CE amplifier response, Gain B<strong>and</strong>width product, Emitter<br />

follower at high frequencies.<br />

UNIT – IV<br />

MULTISTAGE AMPLIFIERS:<br />

Distortion in amplifiers, Frequency response <strong>of</strong> an amplifier, B<strong>and</strong> pass <strong>of</strong> cascaded<br />

stages – Interacting <strong>and</strong> Non-interacting, RC coupled amplifier, Direct coupled<br />

amplifier, Effect <strong>of</strong> emitter bypass capacitor on overall response.<br />

FET AMPLIFIERS:<br />

FET amplifiers at low frequencies, CS / CD / CG configurations at low frequencies,<br />

FET amplifier at high frequencies – CS / CD amplifiers.
