Activities: Depending on the selected core module – quality assurance in the nursing

Special features: This course provides training to the highest European nursing care 

standards. Graduates will be licensed to work as registered health visitors or registered nurses. 

Activities: Nursing is the term applied to all health promotion, preventive, diagnostic, 

therapeutic and rehabilitative measures designed to preserve or restore individual health 

and provide protection against illness. Care services are provided to sufferers of physical 

and mental illness of all ages. Nursing also refers to in-patient and out-patient care for the 

disabled and the seriously or terminally ill. 

Career prospects/options: Graduates will be qualified to work in the full range of 

healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, care homes, rehabilitation centres, mobile home 

care providers and social insurance companies, and as freelance careers

Special features: Academic training in midwifery. The programme provides professional, 

interdisciplinary and academic qualifications, as well as practical training that focuses on 

complex scenarios in specific areas of the midwifery profession 

Activities: Pregnancy check-ups, antepartum, birth and postpartum services, cooperation 

with obstetrics specialists, specific midwifery care services, e.g. consultation hours, 

organisation and execution of training courses such as prenatal courses, parental 

consultation, collaboration on quality assurance, senior management and mentoring

piano and guitar. Students develop theoretical and practical competences in continuous 

reflection, resulting in a close interplay between theory, practice and research

advanced nursing practice e.g. geriatrics, psycho-social treatment of patients with chronic

Special features: Interdisciplinary approach designed to improve academic and theoretical 

abilities as well as interpersonal skills. The curriculum also covers aspects of business, law 

and health economics 

Activities: The role of the occupational therapist or ergotherapist is to improve patients’ 

ability to perform important self-sufficiency (everyday tasks), productive (work and learning) 

and leisure activities 

Career prospects/options: Occupational therapists are qualified to work in professional 

integration and occupational health, and independently provide clinical occupational 

therapy services in the following areas: internal medicine, orthopaedics, accident and 

emergency surgery, geriatrics, neurology, paediatrics and psychiatry, traumatology
