to safeguard society
www.smithsdetection.com
Protect against CBRNE
threats and save lives
Government bodies and militaries around the world all face the challenge
of protecting themselves and society at large against the consequences of a
chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNE) attack.
Terrorism poses a real threat to our security and the safety of troops,
civilians and critical infrastructure. It has never been more important
than now to be able to trust the product in your hand to detect and identify
suspicious substances to respond to a CBRNE threat as quickly as possible.
It is paramount that militaries and security agencies are equipped with
the correct solutions that enable them to carry out their mission as safely
as possible. Our products incorporate the latest technologies combined
with simple, intuitive interfaces that make it easy for the user to operate in
times of pressure, where reliable, rapid results are needed to make quick
decisions.
Around the clock, around the world we provide the capability to protect
people, infrastructure, civil and military facilities from wide-ranging
CBRNE threats.
Take out the guess-work
In any CBRNE incident it is impossible to positively identify potentially
dangerous substances such as vapours, powders, gases, liquids, pastes
and gels using senses such as sight and smell. The need to have confidence
in a product that provides fast, accurate results, in a major CBRNE incident
is as important as your respirator. Survivability is key under CBRNE threat
environments. Early warning alerts can save lives and allow users to
operate without restrictive, full protective equipment.
Our complete CBRNE solutions utilise innovative technologies that take
the guess-work out of identifying dangerous substances. All our products
are tested rigorously to be certified to CE and MIL-STD 810 standards, to
ensure their suitability for harsh conditions and high temperatures likely to
be faced during operations in battlefield and security conditions.
Our science and technology specialists understand that soldiers need the
latest technology in rugged products which minimize inconvenience and
allow them to carry out successful missions in the field. That’s why Smiths
Detection is dedicated to continually developing products that are intuitive,
smaller, lightweight and simple to use.
Increase survivability under
CBRNE threat environments.
Our comprehensive range of product solutions
meet a wide variety of requirements for the
detection and identification of CBRNE threats.
