Orchards at Sunset 5K- Dance of the Cosmos
Graduating Class of 2015- Dates to Remember
A Welcoming
It’s hard to believe that just a few months ago
we were celebrating the end of another wonderful
school year. When I think of the rhythm of a
school year the spring is always a time of joy and
excitement. We experience gratitude for increased
warmth and daylight, we plan for events that help us
bring closure to the year, and we continue to prepare
environments and activities that meet the needs of
students for the season. It’s one of the busiest times
as we stay present with our learning communities,
while simultaneously preparing for the year to come.
29th Annual Dance of the Cosmos
Our end of the year celebration, the Dance of the
Cosmos is an opportunity to come together as a
community and celebrate the kindergarten transition
to elementary. This concrete physical explanation of
our place in the solar system is a learning opportunity
that the whole family is welcome to attend.
We would like to take the opportunity in this
edition of the Quarterly News to share some of the
events and activities that brought our cornerstones
to life at the end of this past school year. These
moments left lasting impressions on our hearts and
we are looking forward to the unfolding of the new
school year. Thank you for choosing to share your
family with the Leelanau Montessori Community.
We are grateful!
A tribute to our 6th graders that are
continuing their journey, each in their own
unique and beautiful way.
“We could study a child from every angle and
know everything about him from the cells of
his body to the countless details of his every
operation and we would still not perceive
his ultimate goal, that is, the adult
he is to become.”
- Dr. Maria Montessori

the Promise for Mankind.”
