contract for Dutch AH-64 Apache and CH-47<br />
Chinook helicopters to identify new areas of<br />
long-term cooperation. Opportunities under<br />
consideration include adding components to<br />
the existing contract; engaging Dutch suppliers<br />
for maintenance, repair and overhaul work;<br />
and expanding use of the Logistics Center<br />
Woensdrecht, the Ministry of Defence’s center<br />
of expertise for military MRO and logistics.<br />
Boeing and Fokker Technologies have signed<br />
a memorandum of understanding to help<br />
advance the goals outlined in the agreement<br />
with the RNLAF. It enables the companies to<br />
explore collaboration on maintenance, repair<br />
and overhaul in the Netherlands for Dutch rotorcraft<br />
and other customers.<br />

Air France inaugurated its first Boeing 777<br />
equipped with its new cabins. Flight AF008<br />
took off from Paris-Charles de Gaulle on June<br />
24th for New York. For the first time, customers<br />
were able to enjoy the new Economy<br />
cabin, offering optimum travel comfort, and<br />
Premium Economy, with 40% additional<br />
space. They also discovered the new Business<br />
class, a real cocoon in the sky. These cabins<br />
are being progressively installed on 44 Boeing<br />
777, the heart of Air France’s long-haul<br />
fleet. The Group had already announced an<br />
investment of €700m in new cabins, including<br />
€500m for Air France and €200m for<br />
KLM. With the planned upgrading of both<br />
airlines’ Airbus A3<strong>30</strong> and Air France’s A380<br />
over the next few years, the Air France-KLM<br />
Group will invest a total of more than €1bn<br />
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY<br />
• Finavia and Estonian Air Navigation Services (EANS) increased the compatibility<br />
of their air traffic control systems and improved the efficiency of information exchange<br />
related to air traffic control. They are the first air navigation services providers in the<br />
world to extensively introduce enhanced On-Line Data Interchange (OLDI) functionalities<br />
between different countries. The improved functionality will increase air traffic control<br />
capacity and improve efficiency, benefitting both airlines and passengers.<br />
• SR Technics and Swiss AviationSoftware jointly implemented integrated system<br />
interfaces between AMOS and SR Technics’ SAP. The new functionalities cover customer<br />
requirements for an “all in one” system solution and will improve efficiency, transparency<br />
and ultimately on-time-delivery. Four interfaces mark the start of further interface<br />
functionalities planned for upcoming AMOS releases between fall <strong>2014</strong> and spring 2015.<br />
All functionalities will provide enhanced levels of service to customers in areas extending<br />
from Component Services to Aircraft Services.<br />
• Heliconia Group chose to implement ADSoftware’s AirPack MRO software solution,<br />
following the company’s latest Business Intelligence and Data Exchange technology upgrade.<br />
Heliconia has implemented all the six AirPack modules with the main focus being<br />
on maintenance management, logistics and airworthiness management in accordance<br />
with EASA and FAA standards. “ADSoftware’s solution has given us a lot of comfort and<br />
security when it comes to airworthiness management, because everyone anywhere can<br />
access the needed information in real time”, said Valéry Nabholtz, CFO of Heliconia.<br />
