The river Gudenå
a flowing stream of experiences
With its more than 160 kilometres the Gudenå – Denmark’s only river – meanders
through the Lakelands and provides water and landscape to a flowing stream of
experiences.
The classic sailing vessel, the canoe, can take you on a voyage where you can pitch
your tent at one of the many primitive lay-bys or campsites along the river. Get sun
in your hair and a smile on your lips while you paddle on in harmony with nature.
You could also try one of the brand new, sun-driven boats with electric engines.
The solar panels on the roof of the boats deliver the energy, making the trip very
peaceful and quiet. You get quite close to the wildlife on the river and the lakes,
and can enjoy a noiseless summer picnic. The maximum speed is four knots, so
sailing by the sun is for people that appreciate sustainability and quality of life.
Solar Sailing
Rent an open Greenwave boat for maximum 5 persons or a covered SunCat 23
with space for 12 persons. You can sail both boats without a certificate or a proof of
capability. Prices range from DKK 450 for half a day – DKK 750 for a full day.

Canoe Rental
A canoe typically seats three adults or two adults and two small children.
Life jackets for everybody are included in the rent, and the
boat keeper is always ready to help you along.
Price for one hour DKK 100 (only in Ry)
Price for one day DKK 360 - 380 (both in Ry and Trust)
