Starting
It is recommended that the slide of
the intake nozzle is fully open or
the nozzle removed from the material
when starting the suction blower.
Adjust the intake nozzle for maximum
capacity when the blower has
reached full speed.
Lock the air intake regulator in
starting position before starting the
blower. The air intake regulator is
limiting the blower’s air capacity in
order to lower the load on the motor
and thereby the consumption of
amp during the start.
Adjustment for
maximum capacity
The function of the slide is to ensure
correct balance between air
and grain.
If the slide is open too far, there will
be too much air and too little material
conveyed.
If the slide is closed too far, there
will be too little air and the material
will settle in the pipe system, and
may block the pipe system completely.
Open
Closed
Open the slide on the intake nozzle
fully and place the end of the intake
nozzle in the material.
Then slowly turn the slide on the
intake nozzle from the fully open
position towards the closed position.
Note: It is only necessary to lock
the air intake regulator if the reduction
in amp consumption is
demanded by the local power
supply.
Just before the pointer of the blower
air regulator enters the red area
the suction head slide is correctly
adjusted.
When the blower is fully running,
release the air intake regulator
again (SUC 300E/SUC500E can be
delivered with automatically controlled
air intake regulator).
When working, the air intake regulator
maintains a uniform air volume,
even when the back pressure
varies during operation. This reduces
the load on the blower motor.
The air intake regulator is sealed
from the factory and must not be
adjusted.
