En diset og råkold onsdag morgen i april sænkede rampen på M/S Tor Futura sig langsomt.<br />

Med udsøgt præcision blev 2.500 tons køretøjer udladet fra Kalundborg havn på kajplads 12.<br />

De 32 tons tunge infanterikampkøretøjer (IKK) skal ikke køre selv. De bliver altid transporteret<br />

på blokvogne fra Tung Transport Detachement fra DANILOG.<br />

Køretøjerne var pakket på alle tre dæk på skibet. På en lang række, kofanger ved kofanger,<br />

ville rækken blive 1.600 m lang.<br />

Ombord på skibet er det MOVCON fra Søværnet og på kajen er det MOVCON fra DANILOG i<br />

Vordingborg, der er kongerne.<br />

On a damp and cold Wednesday morning in April a ramp was lowered from M/S Tor Futura<br />

and with exquisite precision 2,500 tons of vehicles were unloaded at berth 12 in the port of<br />

Kalundborg.The vehicles were packed on all three decks of the vessel and if you lined them<br />

up bumper to bumper there would be a line of vehicles 1,600 meters long.<br />

The infantry fighting vehicles (IFV) each weighing 32 tons are not leaving under their own<br />

steam. They are always transported on flatbed trucks from DANILOG’s Heavy Transport<br />

Detachment.<br />

Navy MOVCON personnel direct operations aboard ship whilst MOVCON personnel from<br />

DANILOG in Vordingborg take care of the vehicles once they are on land.
