ABOUT ARTHOTEL
Be enchanted by the beautiful surroundings
in unspoilt village environment.
Arthotel Tornedalen offers the essence of village
life, culture and wellbeing.
The concept is small scale and features recycled
old renovated country houses from the 20th century
typically built in one and a half floor, each house
bears the name of the family that built it and made it
their home, until I took over.
All houses are designed for individuals, families and
exclusive groups of up to ten persons.
Feel like being at someone’s home and become
part of both history and present day.
CONTEMPORARY ART AND
CRAFT
Arthotel is decorated and furnished
with Scandinavian design, crafts and contemporary
art. Every object you see or touch here has a story
to tell, the new jostling with the old. Art and design
are everywhere – from the rooms to the dining
room, the library, the lounge, the lobby and
outdoors too, of course.

FOOD - PRIVATE CHEF
Locally sourced and produced. Relatives
and friends hunt and fish, and pick
mushrooms and berries for us, as do we
ourselves who work at Arthotel
Tornedalen. Simmi our housekeeper and
cook pitches honey, and grows almond
potatoes and vegetables.
Blackcurrants and rowan berries grow on
our doorstep – in our own garden.
The eggs delivered to the door are laid by
happy hens in neighboring Bäckesta
village.
