Perfekte Chrom- oder Goldauflagen schützen die 

Oberflächen und unterstreichen das elegante Aussehen 

jeder Leuchte, machen sie zu einzigartigen Augen- und 

Handschmeichlern. Die Leuchtenköpfe mit den ausgewählt 

besten LED-Platinen aus jeder Charge werden 

ebenso aufwendig aus Aluminium gefertigt, um eine 

optimale Wärmeableitung und Dauerhaltbarkeit zu 

gewährleisten. Alle Glasschirme werden in einer namhaften 

deutsche Glashütte in alter Handwerkstradition 

gefertigt. Die Endmontage mit Liebe bis zum letzten

other light sources. prebit ® consistently builds on these 

sustainable, ergonomic and therefore future-proof LEDs. 

Because a clear conscience enhances any ambiance. 

Technique that creates emotions 

The perfect electronic control of the LED lights makes the 

difference. prebit ® develops its own electronics fluctuation-proof 

from 10 to 30 volts and individually applicable 

for your intended use for every light. With the unique and 

shapely soft switch, the light control becomes a sensual 

experience (see also page 5). Thereby Individual worlds 

in all shades of light can be created. 

Quality that excites 

prebit ® relies on Made in Germany in all stages of production. 

For prebit ® lights only best materials and manufacture 

processing is being applied. The light bodies 

are machined from solid metals. Perfect chrome or gold 

finishes protect the surfaces, emphasize the sleek look 

of every lamp and make them pleasing to eyes and 

hands. The light heads which have the best selected LED 

boards from each batch are elaborately manufactured 

from aluminum in order to ensure optimal heat dissipation 

and durability. All glass shades are manufactured in 

a well-known German glass factory in traditional craftsmanship. 

The final assembly is made with love to the 

smallest detail, exclusively in the prebit ® manufactory 

and ensures exceptional quality for every single light.

prebit ® -Softtaster 

Alle dimmbaren prebit ® -Leuchten werden über ihren Softtaster 

stufenlos und komfortabel geregelt. Das eingebaute Dimmermodul 

sorgt dafür, dass Sie Ihre Leuchte ganz einfach 

mit der Helligkeitsstufe einschalten, die Sie beim letzten Mal 

gewählt hatten. Mit einem längeren Druck auf den Softtaster 

variieren Sie die Leuchtstärke nach Wunsch. LED-Leuchten 

besitzen übrigens den Vorteil, dass sich ihre Lichtfarbe dabei 

nicht verändert. 

prebit ® -Soft switch 

All dimmable prebit ® -lights can be conveniently regulated to 

any desired intensity by means of the Soft switch. The builtin 

dimmer module ensures that your light switches on at the 

brightness level you selected the last time. You can vary the 

light intensity as desired by keeping your finger on the Soft 

switch. LED lamps also have the advantage that the colour 

of the light does not change when you do this.

GROUP

Ein gutes Team arbeitet perfekt zusammen. Die 

folgenden prebit-Leuchten mit dem teamwork- 

Symbol (GROUP) sind ein eingespieltes Team und 

machen Ihnen die Bedienung besonders leicht: 

Alle Baureihen mit den Modellnummern -1 und 

-2 können in Gruppen geschaltet und gedimmt 

werden. Das funktioniert sogar, wenn Sie dabei 

Leuchten unterschiedlicher Baureihen mischen. 

Sie benötigen nur eine einzige MASTER-Leuchte 

mit der Modellnummer -2, die mit bis zu 15 preiswerteren 

SLAVE-Leuchten der Modellnummer -1 

verbunden wird. Dann steuert die Masterleuchte 

synchron und zuverlässig alle angeschlossenen 

Slaveleuchten.

lights with the work team symbol (GROUP) are a good team 

and make your operation particularly easy: 

All ranges with model numbers -1 and -2 can be switched and 

dimmed in groups. This works even if you also mixing lights from

Technik / Technology 

LED (Leuchtdiode): Eine Light Emitting Diode ist ein elektronisches 

Halbleiter-Bauelement, das Licht abstrahlen kann, wenn eine 

Stromspannung angelegt wird. LEDs sind klein, Strom sparend 

und extrem langlebig. Bei geringstem Platzbedarf strahlen sie in 

Leuchtrichtung kaum Wärme ab, emittieren kein UV-Licht und 

kein Infrarot. 

Letzter Zustand: Alle dimmbaren prebit ® -Leuchten merken sich 

beim Ausschalten ihre Helligkeitsstufe und schalten sich beim 

nächsten Mal genau so wieder ein. Das gilt auch, wenn die 

Leuchten über die Schalttafel oder einen Lichtschalter vom 

Stromnetz getrennt werden. 

Leuchtenkörper: Die Wandschilde sind aus massivem Messing, 

stabil genug für ein langes Leuchtenleben. Die Leuchtenköpfe 

mit den LED-Platinen werden ebenso aufwendig aus Aluminium 

gefertigt, um unsere Anforderungen an Wärmeableitung und 

Dauerhaltbarkeit zu erfüllen.

light level on switching off, and the next time they switch

Light fixture body: The wall fixtures are of solid brass - durable 

enough for a long light fixture life. The light heads with LED circuit 

boards are also extensively produced in aluminum in order to 

meet our demands on heat dissipation and durability.

Oberflächen: Perfekte Überzüge aus Chrom oder Gold schützen 

die Leuchtenkörper und sorgen für ihr elegantes Aussehen. 

Rot-Weiß-Umschaltung: Viele prebit ® -Modelle können von weißem 

auf rotes Licht umgeschaltet werden. Rotlicht blendet weniger 

und empfiehlt sich deshalb bei Nachtfahrten. 

Software: Unverzichtbar, damit die Elektronik weiß, was sie tun 

soll. Wir entwickeln die Software und programmieren unsere 

Leuchten selbst. Erst das ermöglicht den besonderen Bedienungskomfort, 

den BOOTSLICHT-Kunden so schätzen. 

Stromverbrauch: Der Energiebedarf von LEDs ist um ein Vielfaches 

geringer als bei einer Glüh- oder auch Halogenlampe. Mit 

einem 3W-BOOTSLICHT können Sie eine 10-15W Halogenleuchte 

ersetzen, mit einer 9W starken D2 sogar eine 60W-Glühbirne (siehe 

auch Lichtausbeute). 

Treiber: Power-LEDs werden grundsätzlich mit Konstantstromquellen 

(Treiber) betrieben, die exakt die benötigte Stromstärke 

(A) liefern, während die Spannung (V) im Toleranzrahmen der 

LEDs schwankt. Bei einer konstanten Spannung würde die maximal 

zulässige Stromstärke überschritten und die Power-LEDs 

zerstört. Bei prebit ® -BOOTSLICHT ist der Treiber praktischerweise 

schon eingebaut. 

Light quality: A decisive factor here is the selection of the diodes, 

their electronic control and their position in the light fixture 

body, however also the shape and structuring of the light head 

or screen. In a word: Good light requires care and experience.

Made in Germany: We use high-class German workmanship with 

our metal processing, electroplating, glassworks and manufacture. 

Surfaces: Perfect coatings of chrome or gold protect the light 

fixture bodies and guarantee an elegant appearance. 

Red-white changeover: Some prebit ® models can be changed 

from white to red light. Red light is less blinding and is therefore 

recommended when traveling at night. 

Software: This is indispensable for the electronics to know what to 

do. We develop the software and program our lights ourselves. 

This mainly enables particular ease of operation, which is so desired 

by the boat light customer. 

Power consumption: The energy demand of LED‘s is a multiple 

less than bulbs or halogen lamps. You can replace a 10-15W 

halogen lamp with a 3W BOOT LIGHT, with a 9 W intensity D2 you 

can replace a 60W bulb (see also light efficiency). 

Drivers: Power LED‘s are basically operated with constant-current 

sources (driver) which supply the exactly required amperage 

(A), while the voltage (V) fluctuates within the tolerance range 

of LED‘s. With a constant voltage, the maximum admissible 

amperage would be exceeded and the power LED‘s destroyed 

In case of prebit ® BOAT LIGHTS, the driver is already integrated.
