Formula Student
Die Formula Student wurde 1981 von der „Society of Automotiv
Engineers“ (SAE) in den USA gegründet. Im Jahre 2006 wurde
durch den Verband Deutscher Ingenieure die Idee des Wettbewerbs
auch in Deutschland umgesetzt.
Die Herausforderung dieses Konstruktionswettbewerbs besteht in
der Entwicklung, Konstruktion und Fertigung eines Formel-Rennwagens
gemäß eines strengen Reglements. Der Wettbewerb
umfasst neben der Konstruktion auch die finanzielle Planung,
Organisation und Verkaufspräsentation. Das Gesamtpaket wird
von einer Expertenjury aus der Automobil- und Zulieferindustrie
bewertet.
Ziel ist die Ergänzung des Studiums um ein realistisches Entwicklungsprojekt.

Deutscher Ingenieure decided that the competition takes place in
Germany too.
The challenges of the construction competition are development,
construction and processing a formula racecar connected with
strict regulations. The competition enfolded besides the construction
the financing design, organization and sales promotion. The
whole package gets evaluated by jury experts of the automotive
industry.
The goal is an addition of a realistic development project during
the courses of studies.
