1. Bolt both sections of the stirring rod<br />
securely together (Fig. 2).<br />
2. Screw the stirring rod into the stirring<br />
rod holder (5) and fix in position with<br />
two spanners as per Fig. 2.<br />
Speed selection<br />
Set the speed required for the mixture<br />
and material consistency on the speed<br />
selector (3). Where necessary, observe<br />
the recommendations of the accessory<br />
manufacturers.<br />
– Setting wheel in position 1: minimum<br />
speed<br />
– Setting wheel in position 6: maximum<br />
speed.<br />
Press the ON/OFF switch (1) to set the<br />
speed infinitely variably.<br />
1st/2nd speed switch<br />
The speed switch (4) is actuated when<br />
the machine comes to a complete stop.<br />
Switch position I/● is recommended for<br />
mixing pasty, viscous materials, such as<br />
mortar, adhesive, etc.<br />
Switch position II/●● is recommended<br />
for mixing at higher speeds, e.g. paint.<br />
8 – Operation<br />
ATTENTION! The voltage of the<br />
power supply must comply with<br />
the voltage stated on the rating plate.<br />
ATTENTION! The appliance has a<br />
2-button safety switch to preclude<br />
the risk of its being switched on<br />
unintentionally.<br />
Switching on<br />
Grasp the machine firmly with both<br />
hands on the handle (8). Immerse the<br />
stirring rod head (7) deeply into the<br />
mixture. Press and hold down firstly the<br />
safety switch (2), then the ON/OFF<br />
switch.<br />
ATTENTION! The appliance is not<br />
suitable for continuous operation.<br />
Switching off<br />
Release the ON/OFF switch and the<br />
safety switch. Only when the stirrer has<br />
come to a complete stop take the<br />
stirring rod out of the mixture.<br />
9 – Mode of operation<br />
Immerse the stirring rod head (7) deeply<br />
into the mixture. Start at a low speed.<br />
Then increase the speed up to the<br />
maximum set.<br />
This will at the same time ensure that<br />
the motor is adequately cooled. Allow<br />
the stirring rod head to pass through the<br />
mixture until it is thoroughly mixed.<br />
Take care to ensure that the stirrer does<br />
not stop while still mixing.<br />
ATTENTION! Do not allow the<br />
mixture to harden on the stirring<br />
rod! Always clean the stirring rod<br />
directly after use!<br />
