Biografie
Davies has repeatedly shown what
that process can accomplish. He’s
been doing music for six years, since
his landmark songs ALENA, I GET HOT,
HEY YO WONDER and I WILL DO, In
that time with Upper Mission, they
played on big stages around Germany.
Sharing rights with his former
band on songs like CRAZY, BROTHER
AND SISTER.
But despite these dazzling achievements—or
maybe because of them—
the singer and songwriter‘s household
in West Africa has remained a crucial
part of his life. „They are such a beautiful
family,“ says Davies, „and they‘re
really living great in my house, basic
existence despite the poverty. You
eat out of mama‘s garden and the
sea, you know everybody and don’t
pass by anyone without acknowledging
and showing respect to them
As a Sierra Leonean Born Nigerian,
Michael spent a part of his life in the
jungle while fighting as a soldier. The
ten years of civil war in Sierra Leone
has left nothing but a big trace in his
lyrics, vibes and ways of life.
He is now seen performing in Pubs,
open air festivals and private concerts.
One could see him occasionally
on the street of Bremen and Hamburg
passionately entertaining his fans.
Davies separation from Upper Mission
immediately after the release of their
first album in Mar. 2013 and that has
really inspired him in songs like UNBORN
CHILD, GERMAN GIRL and CAN‘T YOU
SEE, although the songs were already
written before the break- up but fortunately
didn‘t witness a band presentation,
he said.
„For some reasons, the band became
a training ground or better still, an
institution where one has to someday
graduate and that notion has speedily
elevated my music know-how.
I only felt it was time to go out there
and work freely with other musician.
I think my problem is that i love the
street so much. Nevertheless, i did
enjoy every bit of my time with the
Band and looking forward to working
with them musically someday“
