BRAINSTORMING
Our intention is to make an interactive installation on the Park & Ride
station next to the Hauptbahnhof.
The concept based on our first analog idea is able to hold the intersections
between layers, distance, commuters and time. As we know the daily
travelers move around the city of Graz, and their “pendel movements”
express their desire going to some places with more frequency than others.
The visualization of the city mobility throughout the behaviour of the
commuters and the speed of the public transport is based on real data.
Our isochrone map indicates the time and travel time from a certain point to
a specific lot of other places. This is done either by the lines of equal travel
time (isochrones) to be entered into a geographical map of Graz or by such
a reordering of map points, the distances that are proportional to the travel
time.
The project involves an isochrone diagram where any station is located on
the example map of Graz in trams and buses network. Clicking on a station
in the reorganized map and shows a few seconds later all of the net travel
time from the selected stop to any other stop.
