GRUSSWORT
Die Ausstellung „Skulptur.Werk.Raum.“ bietet in einer
umfassenden Werkschau Denkanstöße zur Skulptur im
21. Jahrhundert. Spannende Kunstwerke präsentieren
sich einem interessierten Publikum aus Kunstinteressierten
und Kunstschaffenden.
Damit wird der Besucher Zeuge eines gelungenen Experimentes:
Unter dem Motto „stand up for sculpture“
fördert sculpture network den Gedankenaustausch unter
Gleichgesinnten und liefert Expertenansichten, die
zu begeistern verstehen.
Die erste Gruppenausstellung von Mitgliedern in Berlin
zeigt, wie gemeinschaftliches Arbeiten zum Erfolg
führen kann: Mithilfe des Netzwerks hat sich temporär
ein Verbund aus regionalen Künstlern formiert, um Erfahrungen
und Wissen miteinander zu teilen. Paulina
Tsvetanova, Korrespondentin Berlin und Brandenburg,
begleitet die Organisation und Durchführung dieses
Projekts.
Inspiriert von der Gemeinschaft, entstanden nicht nur
Werke, sondern auch neue und spannende Kontakte
zu verschiedenen Experten im Bereich der dreidimensionalen
Kunst. Unter dem wachen und kundigen Auge
der Kuratorin Susanne Greinke fügte sich ein Werk-
Raum-Erlebnis zusammen, das der Skulptur die Aufmerksamkeit
verleiht, die sie verdient.

Über sculpture network
sculpture network fördert durch Kommunikation, Info-
Services und Programmarbeit die zeitgenössische dreidimensionale
Kunst in Europa.
Unsere Ziele sind:
• die Wahrnehmung, das Verständnis und die Wertschätzung
für Skulptur in der europäischen Öffentlichkeit zu
steigern
• den Künstlern, Kunstvermittlern und Kunstfreunden
eine Plattform für den Austausch von Gedanken und
Werken zu bieten.
• die Arbeits- und Rahmenbedingungen für Bildhauer zu
verbessern und europaweit ein professionelles Kommunikations-,
Informations und Service-Niveau zu schaffen.
Durch die engagierte Zusammenarbeit von Mitgliedern,
Meinungsbildnern und Multiplikatoren haben wir
sculpture network zu Europas führendem Netzwerk für
dreidimensionale Kunst gemacht. Etwa 1.000 sculpture
networker tragen heute den gemeinnützigen Gedanken
in 43 Ländern.
Wir sind eine lernende Organisation und stolz darauf,
beständig besser zu werden. Hierbei helfen uns unsere
Mitglieder, genauso wie die aktive Kommunikation mit
weiteren 13.000 Newsletter-Abonnenten, interessierten
Websitebesuchern und Social Media-Kontakten.
Unter dem Motto „stand up for sculpture“ werden wir
hörbar und freuen uns über weitere Freunde und Förderer,
die uns in dieser Mission unterstützen.
GREETING
The Exhibition, „Sculpture.Work.Space.“ in its comprehensive
display, offers a basic conception of sculpture
in the 21st century. Stimulating pieces of art are on view
for the interested public, friends of the arts and artists
themselves.
The viewer is thus witness to a successful experiment:
under the motto “stand up for sculpture”, sculpture network
encourages an exchange of ideas among like-minded
and enthuses with professional expertise through
its broad programme agenda.
This initial group exhibition by members in Berlin demonstrates
effectively how collaboration can lead to
success. With the help of the network, a temporary alliance
of regional artists was established in order to share
experience and knowledge. Paulina Tsvetanova, our
correspondent for Berlin and Brandenburg, has professionally
accompanied the organisation and implementation
of this project.
Inspired by the group, it was not only artwork that
emerged but also new and exciting contacts with various
experts in the field of three-dimensional art. Under
the alert and competent eye of the curator, Susanne
Greinke, a work-space experience emerged, awarding
sculpture the professional attention it deserves.

On sculpture network
Sculpture network supports contemporary three-dimensional
art in Europe through the provision of communication
channels, members’ information services
and its extensive programme agenda.
We have the following aims:
• Enhance perception, understanding and regard for
sculpture within the European community
• Provide for artists, art mediators and friends of the arts
a platform for the exchange of ideas, experience and
artwork
• Improve the working conditions and parameters for
sculptors and create a European-wide comparable level
of professional communication and information services
Through committed involvement with members, opinion
leaders and influential institutions we have established
sculpture network as Europe’s leading network for
three-dimensional art.
Approximately 1000 sculpture networkers spread the
idea of this non-profit organization within 43 different
countries.
We, as an organization, are still learning and are proud
of the fact that we are constantly improving. To this end,
we have at our side our own members, as well as active
communication with an additional 13,000 Newsletter
subscribers, diverse interested website visitors and social
media contacts.
Under the motto “Stand up for Sculpture” we have been
heard and look forward to further friends and beneficiaries
who will support us in this mission.
