2014
haben wir uns aus dem kleinen Zwei-Mann-Betrieb an unserem heutigen
AUSBLICK Standort Reicholzheim zum führenden Unternehmen für Wetterinstrumente
in Europa entwickelt mit über 100 Mitarbeitern.
Der Spatenstich für den Neubau eines Logistikzentrums ist bereits erfolgt. Ab 2015 wird durch
optimierte Warenverfügbarkeit und Lieferfähigkeit der Kundenservice weiter verbessert.
Mit viel Gespür für zukunftsweisende Produkte rund ums Wetter wollen wir der Schrittmacher
des Marktes bleiben, ganz in der 50jährigen Tradition und Erfolgsgeschichte der TFA Dostmann
GmbH & Co. KG.
2014 prospects
Today, we are proud to look back on a success story that stretches back five decades. Starting out as a small,
two-man operation, we have since become Europe’s leading company for weather instruments. Based at
our current site in Reicholzheim, Germany, we currently employ over 100 staff and have already celebrated
the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new logistics centre. From 2015, our customer service
will be further enhanced by improved product availability and delivery capability.
With a great flair for forward-thinking weather-related products, we want to continue to be a pacesetter
in the market, rooted in 50 years of tradition and success at TFA Dostmann GmbH & Co. KG.
1964
1975
Das erste Firmengebäude am heutigen Standort "Zum Ottersberg” entsteht 1966.
Mehrere Anbauten vergrößern die Produktionsfläche bis 1975 auf 2.300 qm.
Über 30 Mitarbeiter sind nun bei dem mittlerweile als TFA Dostmann GmbH & Co. KG
firmierten Unternehmen beschäftigt.
In 1966, the company’s first building was constructed on the current site at "Zum Ottersberg” in Reicholzheim.
Several building extensions increased the production area to 2,300 m 2 by 1975.
By that time, over 30 people were employed by the company, which was now operating under the name
of TFA Dostmann GmbH & Co. KG.

1979 steigt der Umsatz auf über zehn Millionen DM, was einen weiteren Erweiterungsbau
nötig macht. Maschinen werden angeschafft, die eine rationelle Fabrikation ermöglichen.
1985 hat das Unternehmen 100 Mitarbeiter.
In 1979, sales reached over DM 10 million, which made it necessary to build a further extension.
Machines were purchased to enable streamlined production.

1985
Ein Hochregallager und eine vollautomatische Justieranlage entstehen. Die eigene
Elektronik-Produktion wird später als Dostmann electronic ausgegliedert.
TFA Hongkong wird gegründet. 1993 steigt Axel Dostmann in die Geschäftsführung ein.

The company’s own electronic production was later spun off as Dostmann electronic.

1995
Neue Produktideen und eigene Designs stehen im Focus der Firmenpolitik. Die Herstellung
der elektronischen Instrumente erfolgt nun in Fernost. Eine Niederlassung in Shanghai
sorgt für Qualitätssicherung vor Ort.
New product ideas and designs stand at the forefront of the company’s policy. The manufacturing of electronic
instruments is now carried out in East Asia, while a company branch in Shanghai oversees quality assurance on
location.
2005
2007 wird der Firmensitz wieder erweitert. Die Lagerkapazität wird ausgebaut und
eine Etage für neue Büroräume aufgestockt. Inzwischen verfügt die TFA über mehr als
11.000 Quadratmeter Fläche.
In 2007, the company’s site underwent further expansion. The storage capacity was enlarged to include an
extra storey for new office rooms. Meanwhile, TFA now operates in an area of more than 11,000 m 2 .
