Die Bremer Innenstadt ist ein Juwel. Mit Stadtmusikanten und
Marktplatz, dem UNESCO-Welterbe Rathaus & Roland, dem
Schnoorviertel und der Schlachte, den Wallanlagen und der
Böttcherstraße sucht sie ihresgleichen. Sie ist ein Ort zum Leben,
Arbeiten und Wohnen. Ein Ort zum Einkaufen, zum Verweilen
in Cafés und Restaurants. Und natürlich ist sie ein Ort
im Wandel. Aktuelle Vorhaben und geplante Bauten zeigen:
Die Bremer City hat Potenzial. Dafür stehen zum Beispiel der
geplante „Jacobshof” zwischen Stadtwaage und Obernstraße,
der Kühne & Nagel-Neubau an der Weser, das „City Gate” am
Bahnhof, neues Leben am Domshof sowie das Zusammenwachsen
von Überseestadt und Stephaniviertel. Diese kleine
Aufzählung zeigt auch: eine Stadt ist niemals fertig, sie
verändert sich, verbindet Tradition und Moderne.
DEAR BREMEN RESIDENTS, DEAR VISITORS.
The city centre is a real gem. It is unique with its beautiful
buildings and historic streets. Bremen is a great place to live
and work. A place to shop and relax in cafes and restaurants.
And it’s a place of change as well. Current plans demonstrate
the city’s future potential. Projects include the “Jacobshof”,
the new Kühne & Nagel building next to the river, the “City
Gate” near the main station, the reinvigorated Domshof and
the further development of the Überseestadt and Stephaniviertel.
All this shows: a vibrant city is never finished; it
changes and combines the traditional with the modern.
