use to set the table?” mused Anne, causing her daughter to
shake her head. “Mom, a plate is just a plate and a cup is just
a cup!” “Oh sweetie, you don’t understand,” was the answer
she heard. “This special summer mood needs just the right
porcelain. It should definitely be unpretentious, and not overly
delicate. I think a bit of country rustic, with a Mediterranean
touch.” And of course, they mustn’t forget the big candle lanterns,
which Anne scattered across the lawn to elegantly light
a path through the darkness for her guests. Wicker armchairs
and other seating were already positioned around the yard,
since their weatherproof materials could even withstand a
rain shower.
