Located in a privileged area of Luanda, Dona Carmita occupys the 0 floor of a Colonial
construction with a terrace that creates a beautiful relationship between interior and exterior
providing a inviting and welcoming environment to the public to enjoy the service that the space
offers. One of the goals was to keep the original facade of the building as intact as possible,
it was essential to maintain lightness in the interior due to the small areas that each
compartment offers. Brick walls, aluminum slats and Light Trails are elements that have been
inserted in ways that create a contrast between the activities that make up the space.
The designer sought to give the space a cultural aspect by placing traditional masks on the walls.
Localizada em uma zona privilegiada de Luanda, Ocupando o piso 0 de uma construçao
colonial. com uma esplanada que cria uma bela relaçao entre interior e exterior convidado
o utente da via publica a fazer uma pause e deleitar-se das refeições que a Dona Carmita
oferece. Uma das grandes premissas foi manter o mais intacto possivel a fachada original do
edificio, No interior foi inprescindivel manter a leveza devido as pequenas áreas que cada
compartimento oferece. Paredes em Tijolos , ripados em alumínio e Rasgos de Luz são
elemntos que foram inseridos de formas a criar um contraste entre as actividades que compoe
o espaço. O Designer procurou popr fim atribuir um caracter cultural ao espaço colocando
máscaras tradicionais nas paredes.
