Welcome to the Rothesay Open!
We are very excited to bring people
together to enjoy the Rothesay Summer
Series: the Rothesay Open Nottingham,
Rothesay Classic Birmingham and Rothesay
International Eastbourne.

The grass court tennis season is one of
the great traditions of the British summer,
providing a fantastic opportunity for British
players to compete at home against some
of the best talent in the world. As the LTA’s

up tennis to older people, helping everyone to
enjoy tennis at all ages.
Finally, I would like to thank the LTA, the
players and the event staff for making
the Rothesay Open such a success and a
showcase for international tennis in Britain.

On behalf of the LTA, I am delighted
to welcome you to the Rothesay Open
Nottingham here at Nottingham Tennis
Centre.
The LTA took over the long-term lease and operation
of the centre last year and we’ve been making
improvements across the site - including installing a
new air bubble to provide 4 more indoor courts. We’re
committed to continuing to develop and upgrade the
centre, whilst keeping its community provision at the
heart of what we do.
At last year’s event Britain’s Dan Evans took home
the ATP Challenger title and Jonny O’Mara and Ken
Skupski the men’s doubles title and we hope that there
will be more home success to cheer this year. I’d like to
wish very good luck to all the players, from both Britain
and overseas, who are playing here this week.
I’d also like to thank those we work with at the WTA and
ATP along with our commercial partners who make the
event a reality. I’d particularly like to thank Rothesay for
their ongoing support of our events here, as well as in
Birmingham and Eastbourne.
Finally, it’s important to recognise the contribution
of all the officials, volunteers, staff, and of course fans
who do so much to make this such a welcoming event.

are now on sale for the Davis Cup Group Stages in
Manchester in September via the LTA website.
