Administrative and Teaching Leadership and Awards<br />

� Award ‐ Teaching Honour Role, <strong>Beedie</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong>, <strong>Simon</strong> <strong>Fraser</strong> University. This recognition<br />

is awarded to the top 10% <strong>of</strong> teachers within the <strong>Business</strong> faculty at <strong>SFU</strong>, as judged by student<br />

evaluations. Since the 1997 inception <strong>of</strong> this recognition program, I have been on the Teaching<br />

Honour Role seven times, every period in which I have taught the minimum number <strong>of</strong> courses. The<br />

most recent award was for 2011‐2012.<br />

� From 2000 to 2003, as Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, I led the creation <strong>of</strong> courses and<br />

programs, most notably:<br />

o The MBA in the Management <strong>of</strong> Technology<br />

o The biotech option within the Management <strong>of</strong> Technology MBA<br />

o The online option within the Management <strong>of</strong> Technology MBA<br />

� Participation in the creation <strong>of</strong> other programs at <strong>SFU</strong>, including<br />

o The Entrepreneurship and Management & Technology options within the BBA at the <strong>SFU</strong><br />

Surrey campus.<br />

o The joint major between Computer Science and <strong>Business</strong> (a first in Canada)<br />

� Award ‐ Canada Trust Distinguished Teaching Award, $2,000. One <strong>of</strong> two awards granted in the<br />

Faculty <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> Administration for the 1996/1997 academic year.<br />
