<strong>Methyl</strong> soyate was developed because<br />

of checkoff-funded ef<strong>for</strong>ts – and the<br />

<strong>for</strong>esight of U.S. soybean farmers.<br />

Consisting of 64 farmer-directors, the<br />

United <strong>Soy</strong>bean Board (USB) oversees<br />

checkoff funds that are invested in<br />

national programs, including<br />

International Marketing, Domestic<br />

Marketing, <strong>New</strong> <strong>Uses</strong>, Production and<br />

Communications.<strong>The</strong> widespread<br />

ef<strong>for</strong>ts of USB’s <strong>New</strong> <strong>Uses</strong> Committee<br />

have resulted in the development and<br />

commercialization of methyl soyate.
