Modatex was the first important test for Annais new collec-
tion. Dresses are shown to a huge amount of visitors from all
over Europe. The visitors are professionals, who can evaluate
the design and quality. The measure of success is of course the
number of orders. Our new collection, titled „Love” passed the
test with flying colors.
Annais Bridal stays true to its design and after several years
of exhibiting at Modatex this is really paying off. In the era of
plain dresses we still have many lace and sparkle enthusiasts.
Moreover, not every girl looks good in a simple creation and
retailers know very well about this. The brides very often come
in with their mind set on a plain and modest bridal gown, but
when they try on the ones with more lace and detail they often
end up falling in love with those. And the Annais label, as a real
champion in lace and stones, benefits from this.
Representatives of the bridal shops in Germany, just like our
other stockists, expect Annais styles to stay very Annais. During
Modatex the best selling styles were those with decorative lacy
finish and richly embroidered such as Amaryllis, Bibione, Folie,
Tivoli, Sweety, Marie. These styles have already hit the stores
and judging by the amount of orders coming in already, they
are very popular with brides.
For the seasons ahead Annais Bridal offered its customers a
loyalty program with special discounts. During the Modatex
event all customers who have benefited from significant discounts
on their initial order for the new season, were also entered
into a prize draw.
The winners are:

suitcase.

With the end of October Annais Bridal gained a
new addition to the team. Magdalena Mandryk
will be looking after German-speaking markets
(Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Although I have joined Annais Bridal only recently,
I have already been on my first business trip,
during which I had the opportunity to visit our regular
customers and win new ones.
I’m personally charmed by the beautiful lace and
good quality of the Annais range. Therefore, it is
easier for me to convince my clients. My visit to
Switzerland, resulted in the acquisition of two new
stockists. The most successful styles in that region
were Kristi and Amaranta.
I look forward to further cooperation with Annais
Bridal customers .

During the Fair we announced the results of the Competition „Annais Sales Person of
the year 2011”. The Best Sales Person Award 2011 and 3000 zł went to Irena Gruman
of Suzanne B. Bridal Shop in Opole.
And a second place prize of 1500 zł was handed to Joanna Gubała from the Centre of
Wedding and Evening Fashion Ksymena from Tąpkowice in Silesia
Third place and the prize of 1500 zł received Beata Sarnat from Kiara Wedding Salon
in Kielce
Congratulations to all the ladies!
Special thanks for the high number of sales and very good cooperation were dedicated
to the owner of Ksymena Center - Iwona Chapla. 2011 collection was titled
„Journey”, so the prize was obviously an item useful when travelling. Iwona received
a beautiful Wittchen brand suitcase.

The changing form of doing business
on the Polish Market
This year, for the first time we departed from
organizing a spectacular show of new collection,
which was normally combined with an
evening banquet. It was not an easy decision,
because we all got used to the September event
and a joint meeting. Many of us have great
memories from the fashion shows at Książ Castle
or Hotel Monopol ...

On the wave of the changing bridal market in
Poland, however, it was necessary to change
the form of contracting. Our stockists gladly
approved this.
The first Polish preview of the new collection
„Love” was held on 20-21 August in Warsaw
during the B2B Bridal Fair. The Annais 2012
fashion show was held several times a day, so
that each of our customers could get a good
look at the designs. We tried to make a very
welcoming and pleasant atmosphere on our
stand. We are very pleased that despite a diffi-

cult season, so many of our customers cam to
stock up for the new season ahead.
Starting with the 2012 season we are working
on the basis of the loyalty program, „Won -
Won”. Most stores benefited from discounts
offered by Annais on the initial orders. Depending
on the number of ordered dresses each
of the shops placed a coupon marked 5, 10 or
15%. into a glass capsule. The prize draw was
held at the end of the exhibition. Lucky winners

The next event enabling Polish retailers to buy
Annais stock took place on 16-17 September,
also in Warsaw, during The “Bridal Fashion”
Fair. We have prepared a much smaller stand
stand, but still wanted to be present also on
this exhibition. In addition to the new customers
we were glad to meet with many of our
regular customers.
After these two big events we can conclude
with satisfaction that the 2012 collection
„Love” was received with genuine approval.
Your orders are without doubt a good proof
for this. We would like to warmly welcome all

In each of these countries we already have quite a few stockists. Annais
dresses are being very well received by British and Irish customers!
What are the main reasons for this success? Here’s what owners of the
shops most often tell me: the original design, beautiful, unique lace and
decorations, suitable price points and decent fit and quality.
Bridal industry in England is a very saturated market, but many stores
are looking for something fresh and original – with so many shops
around they need unique styles that others don’t have. This is a potential
hidden in the Annais label. During the last visit I travelled throughout
the United Kingdom from Bristol in the south to Edinburgh and
Glasgow up north in Scotland, but apart from some different regional
trends, regardless of the location on the map, the overall opinions were
very similar. Most stockists have chose at least 10 styles from the collection.
It was more difficult to finalize the order - after buying their stock
at the bridal fairs their budget for the purchase of further styles was limited.
Among the dresses ordered dominated Emporia, Amaryllis, and
Essence. Tivoli was ordered alternately with Folie and took ex aeqo the
4th place. The PL265 bolero designed originally for the Tivoli style has
proved to be a huge stunner. All my stockist agree that it’s beautiful,
versatile and changes the nature of each dress. Some of the ladies opted
for a knee length dress Kasumi – they fell in love with the beautiful lace
on the skirt and the unique vintage styling.

Foreign contractors really appreciate these personal visits in their
shops. It gives them an opportunity to see almost the entire collection in
their own premises, which in return helps to make a thoughtful and accurate
choice. There is no hustle and bustle, the excess of goods around
and rush, which usually accompanies the bridal fairs.
I look forward to more trips and meetings. Next on the list is Ireland,
where I will be visiting bridal shops in February 2012. I am extremely
happy, because Annais gowns have already been worn by brides at
many weddings in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Most popular styles
so far are: Cherry, Mirabel, Mabelle and Brittany, but frankly it is hard
to discern any trend here, because nearly all the styles, which are in the
shops there have been picked by brides. With no doubt advertising on
the outside cover of the Irish Wedding Diary has helped us in reaching
the end customers. We already have brides who are looking for dresses
presented in the advert. Therefore, there will be more advertising and
meetings with stockists.
I have a special sentiment for the Irish market, because a shop in Dublin
was the first to order the Annais dresses and a pioneer on the UK & Ireland
Annais stockist list.

„To be or not to be” - that is the question
For this Shakespearean sententia our answer is....

And so Annais Bridal has for the first time exhibited
this September at the biggest trade fair in the
bridal industry in Britain - The British Bridal Exhibition
in Harrogate in the North of England. The
main purpose of our first show was to gather valuable
information regarding the exhibition itself as
well as the british bridal industry, especially since
it’s a completely new market for us. Exhibition space
is enormous, but companies are located in many
smaller and larger halls, so entering one of them
does not make such an impression, as we know
from the huge halls in Essen. However, you can
feel overwhelmed after the first glance at the list
of exhibitors. The feedback from our existing and
new customers reasurred us that we are offering
a product that is different and very good. We have
beautiful custom designed lace - Cherry, Emporia,
Sweety, Amaranta, Brittany, Miracle, Mirabel -
which pleases regardless of latitude. Therefore, we
definitely plan to exhibit next September in Harrogate
and in the meantime we encourage retailers to
visit our website www.annaisbridal.com - and fill
out the become a distributor form.

Sweety style - this lace finish is really admirable
On The Polish Wedding Show in 2011, presenting
the world fashion trends, Annais Bridal
surprised all guests with a short asymmetrical
dress made from Richelieu lace. This dress
has not passed unnoticed. Comments in the
audience were various – from one extreme to
the other.
I was a bit shocked by a comment of a young
girl, who said, „The model in this dress looks
like a hostess, this style is completely inappropriate
for a wedding, more suitable for a
disco.”
If you actually had a very slim figure and beautiful
legs, would you not be tempted to put
on a short dress? I think that a woman, who
will have enough courage to dress in the Orelie
style designed by Annais deserves sincere
congratulations. Firstly because of the impeccable
figure (I can not imagine that you could
wear this dress in a larger size) as well as courage
in breaking stereotypes. Many women
on daily basis are not confident enough to put
on a mini skirt, let alone on their own wedding.

tually a Polish girl to be more general is not
ready to wear such a daring outfit.
„Beautiful dress, but I do not have figures for
this type of cut” - whispered a girl, slim – about
175cm tall – „my thighs and and bum are
way to fat” - she added. Her mother commented-”If
I was at a church wedding where the
bride would be in a mini like that, which would
barely cover her charms, I would definitely disapprove
it, moreover, your grandmother and
aunt would not like it at all, and what would
the priest say? „
I personally believe that a short dress can be
as elegant as a long one, what’s most important
is to feel good in it. With that style maybe
the designer went a bit to far with the length
- the dress barely reaches half the thigh, but
as a whole it looks great. It reminds me of a
Coco Chanel outfit from the 20’s – a little white
dress. The gowns bridal nature is highlighted
by a very original and trendy Richelieu lace,
which is covers the gown.
In my opinion, short dresses are not the negation
of tradition nor elegance, it is not a faux
pas according to me to wear such a dress in
the church.

For the 2012 season Annais has designed short dresses
a bit less controversial than the above-described Orelie,
more in line with the generally accepted canon of
wedding fashion.
Both styles, Imperia and Kasumi are knee-length
dresses, inspired by the fashion in the 50’s. These
gowns have a very fitted corset top and a wide pleated
skirt. Very girlish and romantic.
A very safe option for women who dream of wearing a
short dresses for their wedding is to have the dress on
only for a civil wedding or just the wedding reception
– this should not offend anyone. After all, our mums
very often wore short dresses, and even very short
dresses - such length as the previously mentioned Orelie
style – for their civil wedding. You can also wear a
short dress on the wedding after-party.
So girls, lets wear mini dresses, to weddings and to
discos.

In late August, one of our stockists Nicole from Poznan for the second
time took part in the Wedding Music Festival and a Feast of the Rose
Picnic organized by the owners of magnificant Manor called Rose Poraja.
Both the interior of the mansion and the surrounding were a wonderful
setting for Annais dresses. Dress Polly played the leading role, presented
by the bridal shop’s owners son’s girlfriend.

The “Love” collection was launched in the Annais Flagship Store
in Wroclaw in mid-November. The sales season, especially in large cities,
has moved at least two months back. In the previous years the new season
would normally start in January.
Now its a good idea to have new styles in November.
Future brides came asking for the new collection already in September.
With eagerness, but also fear, we anticipated the first reactions
to the new designs. Many girls measured the ruffled bottom styles.
Sentence and Ricky were really popular among those.
From the Tulle skirt dresses Folie was by far the most liked style.
Not many ladies - contrary to market trends and our expectations
- wanted to measure plain and simple dresses.
In this range the best was Rosaria.
And, as it usually is with Annais,
the leading designs were the lacy and embroidered ones:
Marie, Majesty, Sweety.

on The Krakow’s Market Square
How to extend the unique atmosphere of the great Day of Marriage?
How to awaken those emotions again? First of all you need put on
your wedding dress. Iwona Czapla - owner of Ksymena Wedding Center
in Tąpkowice managed to convince as many as 17 young married
women to present themselves once again in their wedding gowns.
On October 1st - a beautiful and sunny Sunday - ladies with their husbands
dresses exactly as they were on their wedding days - entered
the Market Square, causing a stir among the crowds of citizens and
tourists in Krakow.
The highlight of the event was a joint photograph at the Adam Mickiewicz
monument. Representatives of the bridal dress labels stocked by
Ksymena Wedding Centre, including Annais Bridal, were also invited
to be part of the photographed image. We were very pleased that out
of 17 women that took part in the venue, the vast majority – 11 girls –
have chosen an Annais gown. We thank the owner and the whole team
Ksymeny for such a fabulous event.

impressions
Wedding Impressions took place on the 23rd of October in gallery Alfa in Bialystok. During the
event, eight bridal metamorphoses were created - each in a different styling. You could see the
wedding in Indian, Hindu, Arabic, French, English, Spanish and Polish style. The Wedding Impressions
were organized for a good cause – to collected money for the purchase of pharmaceuticals,
medical supplies, medical equipment, rehabilitation equipment necessary for the Charity
„Help Them”. The event also promoted a „new tradition” among couples getting married - to urge
their guests to give the money they planned to spend on buying flowers to chosen charity.
One of the main event co-organisers were Elzbieta Wierzbicka, owner of „Bellissima Exclusive”
Wedding Salon and Bozena Radziwon, owner of „Mon Cheri”.
Thanks to them Annais dresses took part in the wedding metamorphoses. Readers of the newspaper
„Now Bialystok” could choose the best styling by texting the number they liked most to a
number provided. We are proud to announce that the winner of the contest was Justyna Żłobicka,
who was dresse in dress Sweety from Annais 2012 Collection.

a Spectacular makeover in the shop interiors
I received pictures of the new interior of the Timm Wedding Salon after a complete makeover.
I wondered what prompted the owner - Britta Timm - to such a move.
„In our old store we didn’t have enough space to handle more clients simultaneously. Now we can easily do
this. We expanded the shop area from 150 to 500 sqm. This gives us the opportunity to improve the display
of goods and add new styles to our current stock.
Did anyone help you in the interior design?
No, I have planned everything myself.
Did this change in any way affect the sales figures?
The change has contributed to our spectacular success. Customers are very enthusiastic about the new
décor and feel very comfortable and good in our shop. This is exactly what we wanted. Many of our clients
travel long distances to visit us. We care a lot about their comfort.
Did this change affect the well-being of your staff?
The climate of the new showroom entreats shopping and has a good influence on the staff. I think that nice,
honest and professional service is extremely important. Good customer support is what we focus on in the
first place. Our motto is - only when you see the glint in the eye of your customers and know that she had
found her dream dress, you can feel the real satisfaction from what you are doing. Satisfied clients make
us feel happy and recommend our shop to others, and this is exactly what it’s all about.

Annais in High Heels
- a women’s meeting
In the wedding industry, despite the involvement
of many great men, yet women are the
majority. That is why the event „Annais in
High Heels” was addressed only to ladies. Key
customers were invited to the Chojnata Palace
in central Poland . The first day - November
16 – started with a yoga training under
the guidance of Przemek Nadolny from Yoga
Republic. For the vast majority of us it was
our first experience with yoga. The outlines of
the philosophy of yoga have been introduced
to us, we were shown a presentation of yogis
capabilities, and then we proceeded to relaxation
exercises.
In the second part of the day we were enjoying
wine while being pampered with paraffin
treatments for hands. Some ladies relaxed in
the sauna room. There was no end to conversations.
Discussions which revolved around
the topic of wedding gowns moved to banquet

tables, and the evening dinner meeting lasted
till late hours.
The next day there was a meeting with one
of the Annais designers - Monika Grzelak-
-Kozlowska. Monika tried to provide us with
design rudiments and told us about her inspirations.
The talks, however, have chosen a
different direction. We focused on issues relating
to sales in individual stores, such as the
price of dresses, competition, advertising, internet
sales as well as the structure of dresses,
alterations and possible enhancements. Did
we find a wonderful solution? No, but each of
us learned something interesting and worth
considering. The exchange of thoughts, experiences,
information turned out to be priceless.
Not to mention the great feminine atmosphere
which has developed over the two days spent
together in Chojnata Palace.
During the meeting our stockists gave us their
suggestions for a new title for the Annais 2013
collection. The following were selected through
a vote:

Tąpkowice
- Emotions – Butik Aśka Zielona Góra
- Passion – Perfect Bride Koszalin
In January, these three titles will be posted on
our website: www.annaisbridal.pl and website
visitors will vote on the best one. The author
of the winning title will receive a full page advert
for their store in the spring issue of the
bridal journal „Panna Mloda”.
The culmination of the meeting was a joint
photo taken on the steps of the Palace. All ladies
were wearing high heels.

The Contest,
„My Annais
Wedding Dress 2011”
Dear Ladies, we’d like to remind you that the competition „My Annais
Wedding Dress 2011” is still going on. Your customers, who bought an
Annais dress in 2011, may enter the site www.annaisbridal.pl and in
accordance with the guidelines,write a short story about choosing their
wedding dress and attach a photo. The winner of the competition, accompanied
by her companion, will benefit from a two-day stay at an exclusive
SPA hotel.
The previous edition of the contest was won by Anna Małyszko, who spent
a weekend with her husband at Hotel Verde Montana.
The competition entries will be accepted until 31 January 2012. Till now
we have received many touching stories, but we are eagerly waiting for
more.
Annais on the Bridal Fair
“Stylish Wedding” in Kielce
Thanks to long lasting cooperation with Kiara
Bridal Shop, gowns from Annais Bridal have
been entered to Bridal Awards competition,
organized during the “Stylish Wedding” Fair,
which took place in early November 2011. 19
styles competed for the title of the most beautiful
dress. For those who might be curious of the
winning style, we present the award-winning
gown Canute designed by Magdalena Basąg.
This is how Arthur Wijata, stylist, and chairman
of the jury commented the decision :
„We are very pleased we have a different style inspired a bit by Japanese
trends. A fitted, white and minimalist dress, is something that recently is
very valued in international trends. We wanted to reward the courage
and a different view on a “stylish wedding”. We also took into account that
the audience will evaluate the dresses more commercially and in favour of
embellishments. The truth is every bride wants to feel a princess.„
Annais Bridal styles - Sweety and Valentina - were in the finals of the
competition.
