PFOA ? No problem at ILAG!
The use of PFOA (Per-Fluor-Octanic Acid)
for the manufacturing of coatings is
a well known environmental concern.
Yet, the discussion is mainly restricted to
We have developed the new ILAG
PTFE-Coatings in close joint effort with
our suppliers. This has resulted in the
complete removal of PFOA in the whole
manufacturing process. In fact, the US
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
experts in the fi eld. To avoid this concern
to become a sensitive public issue,
we at ILAG have reacted rapidly and
r esponsibly.
The new ILAG PTFE-Coatings: Naturally PFOA-free.
From 01.09.2008 all DURIT Resist,
DURIT Protect Plus and DURIT Select
coating systems will be changed over and
therefore, in all probability, PFOA will be
no longer be used. From 01.01.2009 all
other coating systems, DURIT Dynamic,
has called for this target to be achieved
only from 2015 onwards. Nevertheless,
our fi rst concern is customers and environment
care. Therefore we say: no discussions,
no compromises. In other words at
ILAG we are „Naturally PFOA-free!“

And incidentally, for all our PTFE- Coatings
we already use an environmentally
friendly, water based technology that is
practically free from any organic solvents
(VOC-free) for a cleaner environment.

in “right times”, we are ensuring the
ongoing business development of our
partners and together we will meet
our obligations to the society and the
environment.

environmentally friendly
coatings.
