The <strong>Warwick</strong> <strong>60</strong>DN performance sloop is an exciting<br />
new cruiser/racer with a three-cabin layout finished<br />
in light native timbers with oiled teak floors. Built in<br />
composites to a superb standard by <strong>Yacht</strong>ing<br />
Developments, New Zealand, Intrigue combines<br />
elegance with powerful performance. The owner’s aft<br />
cabin has generous storage and side settee with ensuite<br />
facilities. A double guest cabin is located forward,<br />
served by an ensuite shower and toilet, which also<br />
doubles as a day head. Folding pipe cots are provided<br />
in the foc’sle for additional crew.<br />
Eye-level portholes in the main saloon generate an<br />
expansive feel to the main dining and navigation<br />
station.<br />
The soft flowing cabin and side coamings enclose a<br />
large centre cockpit and the flush foredeck allows the<br />
self-tacking headsail track to be taken to the side rails<br />
to facilitate efficient reaching.<br />
Excellent performance comes from the modern<br />
underwater shapes and appendages and from the<br />
carbon-fibre Southern Spars rig. The sail plan includes<br />
a removable furler on the headstay for long-distance<br />
cruising and an in-boom furling mainsail. The sweptback<br />
spreaders allow for a 112% overlapping headsail<br />
with dual tracks.<br />
The large aft deck, which has sun canopies, can be<br />
used for entertaining and dining and the indented<br />
transom has a stern ladder for boarding and bathing.<br />
