Students from thirty-one foreign countries number 160 this year, compared with 107 from thirty-seven countries a year ago. Probably because of the war, the following cφuntries, once represented, this year 'had no students come to the <strong>University</strong>: Argentina, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Japan, Kprea, Norway, Rumania, and Siam. China again heads the list with 30 students, nine more than last year. Puerto Rico has 24, followed by Canada with 21, Columbia with ,10? and Costa Rica with 9. Central and South America have a total of 79. Othet countries represented inclμde Afghanistan, India, Philippine Islands, Poland, Sweden, and Turkey. Most foreign students are taking graduate work in Agriculture ,and Engineering, though some are enrolled in Arts, Law, Architecture, Home Economics, and Hotel Administration. Only Japanese citizen at the <strong>University</strong> is Hiroshi Minami, PhD '43, of Tokyo.
