Maurice James, Producer<br />
Maurice James, president of <strong>Mojo</strong> Pictures, is a graduate of<br />
Columbia University and the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark<br />
Producing Program at the School of Cinematic Arts. Having worked in the<br />
entertainment industry for over 6 years, Maurice brings a broad range of<br />
experience and access to this project.<br />
Vaughn Glover, Writer<br />
Writer Vaughn Glover is a graduate of Columbia University with a<br />
degree in Spanish and Portuguese. An authority on international popular<br />
culture, Vaughn has been invited to work on projects throughout the<br />
Americas involving both music and film such as the UNESCO conference<br />
on World Music in Los Angeles, the Cuban Hip Hop Festival in Havana, and<br />
the Red Bull Music Academy in Sao Paulo. Vaughn brings a depth and<br />
breadth of knowledge to Tropicália that cannot be overstated.<br />
Michael Blaha, Executive Producer<br />
Michael Blaha, a former V.P. of Legal Affairs at Columbia Pictures<br />
and Lorimar, now has his own entertainment practice representing<br />
producers, directors and writers of independent films. He has taught<br />
“Independent Film Financing and Distribution” and other entertainment<br />
law courses as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law at Southwestern<br />
University School of Law. His Executive Producing credits include “Chi<br />
Girl” (Slamdance Grand Jury Prize winner), “According to Occam’s<br />
Razor,” and “runt.”<br />
