WHAT IT TAKES TO BE THALER OR EQUAL When specifications read Thaler or Equal, it is the responsibility of specifiers and building owners to determine what it means to be “Or Equal”. Maintenance-Free; supports are equipped with Thaler pre-formed metal flashings that never need caulking (CSA B272-93).
