SPECIAL COLLECTION
We have put a collection jar in the Hall foyer (near Kerem entrance) for people to
donate £1 coins, for the benefit of lone soldiers and children in southern Israel.
We ask everyone to contribute to their welfare in these difficult times
PROJECT CHESSED
CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAYS As part of the GIFT programme, children are invited to donate any
unwanted presents which can be distributed to those in need. Gifts can be placed in the box in the
foyer (Sundays to Fridays).
SUBURB SUPPERS If you have just had or know someone in the community who has just had a
baby, we would be delighted to provide a nutritious freshly cooked meal. Please contact Claire
Rosen on 8455 9516. This is a free service, please don’t hesitate to ask.

UJIA MAGIC MOMENTS
We are looking forward to hosting a group of young Israelis (16/17 years old)
participating in this year’s UJIA Magic Moments Programme. We would welcome
offers to help with accommodation from Thursday 11 – Thursday 18 April 2013.

KIDDUSH ROTAS - VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED:
Our kiddush rota teams require extra support - all that is required is to help one
Shabbat in six, to prepare, put out the food and clear away at the end of kiddush.
We are looking for help from women of all ages from the community - please give a
little of your time - preparation starts at 9.30 am on Shabbat morning and takes
around 1 hour. New recruits would be appreciated.

CALLING ALL GOLFERS
On Thursday, 23 May HGSS will compete at Hartsbourne Country Club against
synagogues from around the country in the Inter Shul Golf Competition. The team
will consist of six players (men or women of any age and any handicap) who will be
selected on the basis of their two best scores achieved in monthly medal
competitions (medal or stableford) played on their own course during March, April
and the first week of May 2013. , if you are interested in playing please e-mail John
