1968. in March 2002, he retired<br />
from full time service at the rank<br />
of Sergeant and joined the St.<br />
Petersburg Police reserve unit.<br />
Between 2002 and 2004, reserve<br />
Officer Brubaker took an active<br />
role as an instructor with the Multi<br />
Jurisdictional Counter drug task<br />
Force training which conducted<br />
training on all aspects of drug<br />
interdiction throughout the united<br />
States.<br />

in 2004, he accepted a position at the allstate Police academy by becoming an instructor<br />
for First responders, emergency Vehicle Operations, and Firearms.<br />
reserve Officer Brubaker is an integral part of the general Course instructors which<br />
teaches all aspects of non-high liability courses.<br />
Jay has maintained his required reserve hours while performing his duties with the Police<br />
academy throughout the years, in spite of suffering through a life threatening injury<br />
during a boating accident several years ago.<br />
reserve Officer Jay Brubaker is a valued member of the reserve unit, providing his years of<br />
experience in Law enforcement and teaching to benefit the community of St. Petersburg<br />
and the St. Petersburg Police department.<br />
