of each month, 10:00 a.m. in <strong>St</strong>. Maron Room. Call the church office to make reservations for Baptisms<br />

and the Class. Most couples find it more convenient to attend the class before the birth of the child.<br />

WeDDings: Either the bride or groom must be a registered parishioner. Both must be free to marry<br />

in the <strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>Church</strong>. Wedding dates are set at the first meeting with the priest or deacon, at least six<br />

Please let us know when a member is ill or elderly, or in the hospital or<br />

facing surgery. If possible please do not wait until it becomes an<br />

emergency, when a visit and prayer and perhaps the administration of the<br />

Sacrament of the Sick may be appropriate and helpful, so that we can do<br />

Once-a-Month Cooks Needed<br />

The <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Thomas</strong> <strong>Aquinas</strong> Supper Club is in need of people who will prepare<br />

food once a month to give to AIDS patients at two homes in Oak<br />

Cliff, run by a Jesuit priest. Casseroles, salads, desserts, and other dishes<br />

are needed one Sunday a month for about 65 men and women at the<br />

homes. If you are interested in serving those in need in this way, please<br />

Parish operates year round—school time and summer time: Please don’t<br />

forget that your weekly offering is ALWAYS VERY IMPORTANT to<br />

keep normal operations steady—lights, air conditioning, salaries, debt<br />

reduction. Annual maintenance is done in church and school facilities during<br />

the summer, such as painting, cleaning, carpets and upholstery, etc.<br />

Safe Environment Program at <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Thomas</strong> <strong>Aquinas</strong><br />

All parents who wish to visit the school during school hours or volunteer<br />

are required to complete the <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Thomas</strong> <strong>Aquinas</strong> Safe Environment<br />

Program. Parents must have a volunteer badge which is required<br />

to be worn while visiting the school. New <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Thomas</strong> <strong>Aquinas</strong> <strong>Church</strong><br />

or School Volunteers must attend the Family of Faith Awareness<br />

Training session. Awareness Training is an annual requirement of the<br />

Diocesan Safe Environment Policy and is implemented here by the<br />

STA Safe Environment Advisory Board. Please do not bring children<br />

to the session. Please do not arrive late to the session. Latecomers<br />

Youth Ministry<br />

Our Summer Youth Ministry program starts Wednesday, <strong>June</strong> 11,<br />

when we go to Hawaiian Falls in Garland. Leaving from the Lower<br />

School at 10:30 a.m. and returning to the Lower School at 5:00 p.m.<br />

Cost is $10 per family which includes an all day pass and a hot dog,<br />

chip, drink and cookie lunch. Everyone should wear his blue STA<br />

Youth Ministry T-Shirt. We will give you one if you do not have one.<br />

Please see and SAVE the <strong>June</strong> and July schedules on pages 5 and 6 of<br />

this bulletin.<br />

NOTE: There will be NO 6:00 p.m. Sunday Mass at the Lower School<br />

during the summer. Mass begins again a the start of the CCD/Youth<br />

Ministry program in the fall.<br />

50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration<br />

The annual Dallas Diocesan Seniors Council Celebration honoring couples<br />

that have been married 50 years will be celebrated <strong>June</strong> 14, <strong>2008</strong> at<br />

<strong>St</strong>. Anthony <strong>Catholic</strong> <strong>Church</strong>, Wylie, Texas. Any couple married 50 years<br />

or more who has not been honored before is eligible. Mass will be<br />
