To be considered for admission, candidates must submit
transcripts, standardized test scores, and health records. All
must also pass the entrance examination.
Candidates who successfully pass the entrance exam and
whose other documents indicate that they are likely to succeed
in the school’s college preparatory programs are notified of
acceptance. Only then shall they pay the required and nonrefundable
registration fee in order to reserve a place in class.
Pre-registration of returning students is held each spring to
determine class offerings for the following school year.
Because FDMS maintains limited enrollment, the registration
of qualified students is on a first come, first served basis.
B. Registrar’s Office
The registrar’s office manages all student records (report
cards, health records, transcripts, etc.). Request for transcripts
and any other pertinent documents have to be directed to this
office. Such requests may require a processing fee. Payments
are first made to the cashier before request.
Contact information must be kept current with the registrar.
Certain items are allowed to be shared with parties as outlined
in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. In
addition, the images, likeness, voice and or video recordings
of students may be used by the school officials for marketing,
promotional, publicity, or recognition of the students and the
school. This policy applies to all students who enroll in
FDMS unless a parent or legal guardian expresses otherwise
with a written statement before such transactions take place.
C. Business Office
The business office oversees the financial activities of the
school. It also receives and records payment of tuition and
other applicable fees from students or parents.
Tuition, as lump sum, is $4950. This does not include any
other fees or expenses. To ease the burden, tuition is paid in
ten (10) equal payments due on the fifteenth (15 th ) of each
month from July through April. A late fee is charged for any
payment received after the fifteenth (15 th ) of the month.
Arrangements may be made for quarterly payments. All
payments can be made in the form of checks, cash, credit
cards, or other methods designated by the administration.
In the event of withdrawal or expulsion from the school, four
(4) instructional days require a full month tuition payment.
The school makes every effort to help the students and parents
with their financial obligations to FDMS. However, all
students who are in arrears in their tuition payments for more
than two (2) months may be asked to withdraw from the
school.
If a student account becomes delinquent and the services of a
collection agency becomes necessary, the parents will assume
11
the cost of collection, legal fees and a seven percent (7%)
interest charge on the unpaid amount.
The business office makes disbursements of student funds on
the signature of the treasurer, the president, the faculty advisor
of the organization, and the administration on a check request
form supported with proper documentation.
All student funds are to be deposited with the school’s
business office. Funds collected should be deposited by the
end of the school day. Funds collected outside of the school
day should be given to an administrator and deposited the next
school day.
Tuition and Other Fees
The Schedule of Fees is available from the office or via
www.fatherduenas.com. The following are the regular fees
assessed each student, the details of which are given in the
registration information packet:
related to instruction, but which are ancillary to, and are
supportive of instruction, namely, the work of office
personnel, academic non-teaching staff, office expenses,
communications, postage, and all paper work including
records-keeping and maintenance of student files, etc.
Instructional Resources Fee. This covers for all materials
and resources used directly for instruction, namely, textbooks,
computers, library resources, and other non-consumable items
or permanent fixtures in classrooms, instructional aids and
materials that need to be changed on an annual basis, or on a
regular basis like workbooks, computer programs, printer ink,
photocopying of tests, etc.
Monthly Tuition. This goes directly to the direct and actual
cost of instruction.
used for lab experiments, demonstrations, and maintenance of
all laboratory tools and implements.
Building Maintenance Fee. This is paid each semester and
covers for the direct repair and maintenance of facilities and
buildings, including maintenance work on the sports fields, air
conditioning units, trash management, utilities, etc.
Development Fee. Paid once each year, this covers for all
capitalization expenses needed to gradually improve or
augment facilities and fixtures in the school. It also intends to
cover for investment on staff and faculty development.
Parking Permits, Yearbook Fee, and Graduation Fee
(if applicable)
N.B. Unless otherwise specified elsewhere in this handbook,
all the abovementioned fees are non-refundable.
