The plants are most attractive in partial sun, but will tolerate full
sun and full shade. Good well-drained soil with regular feeding
and watering are required.
Description
A large shrub that is easily maintained to 6-10 feet high. The white
jasmine scented flowers are abundant in the axis of the shiny dark
green leaves. Flowers heavily after the first rain of spring and
sporadically thereafter. The attractive red or yellow berries may be
harvested, dried, roasted and ground at home.
Landscape Use
An excellent choice for containers (makes a good interior plant).
Hedge or specimen shrub.

Height reaching 20 feet. Moderate drought tolerance. Can be used
as a wind break. While it tolerates full sun, foliage looks best in
light to moderate shade.
Description
The upright, unbranched stems with broad evergreen leaves have
a whide, central yellow stripe. Extremely fragrant flowers are
occasionally produced and open during the evening.
Landscape Use
Excellent container plant (makes a good interior plant). Hedge or
specimen shrub.
