MILLARS TIMBER AND TRADING COMPANY LTD.<br />
In 1902, seven major sawmillers merged with the Millar organisation to form<br />
Millars Karri <strong>and</strong> Jarrah Company <strong>and</strong> in 1910 the new <strong>company</strong> was<br />
operating 26 sawmills, 350 miles <strong>of</strong> railway, 3 shipping ports, over 1,000<br />
horses <strong>and</strong> 40 locomotives. 1,500.000 acres <strong>of</strong> forest country was under its<br />
control.<br />
In 1912 the name was changed to Millars Timber <strong>and</strong> Trading Company<br />
Limited. The Inchcape Group took control <strong>of</strong> the <strong>company</strong>, then named<br />
Millars (W.A.) Pty Ltd. in 1972.<br />
