Fancy, sprightly Nymph, whose Dress<br />

Shines with Colours numberless,<br />

More than stain the heav’nly Bow,<br />

More than glitt’ring Dew-drops show<br />

In early Dawn; yet ever new,<br />

Ever changes to the View.<br />

Take thy Wings, and come away!<br />

Such a Scene invites thy Stay,<br />

Such a Scene as never yet<br />

Before thy ravish’d Eyes was set!<br />

Tho’ o’er Field, and Air, and Wood,<br />

Over Hill, and over Flood,<br />

Wandring light, and unconfin’d,<br />

Thou leav’st the panting Storm behind.<br />

Far away, ye airy Train,<br />

Natives of the Poet’s Brain;<br />

Sister Nine, suppos’d to tread<br />

Cold Parnassus’ aged Head.<br />

Airy Train, be far away,<br />

Guide my undissembling Lay,<br />

Parent Nature; thou whose Smile<br />
