Pat. Nov. 21 71 on top of round barrel, serial
number 6428; Starr .44 caliber cap and ball
revolver marked Starr’s Patent Jan 15 1863,
and Starr Arms Co. New York serial number
29926 with inspector’s cartouche on bottom
sides of grip.
