each using the information heard. There are ten gaps to complete; five per task.<br />

Authentic recordings <strong>of</strong> one or two speakers giving or<br />
exchanging information. The items replicate real life<br />
situations which require accurate comprehension and<br />
transcription <strong>of</strong> key information, (e.g., taking messages or<br />
notes)<br />
Including the following:<br />
- transactional conversations<br />
- public announcements<br />
- recorded messages<br />
This item type is marked as either correct or incorrect. Each correctly completed gap has a weighting <strong>of</strong> one<br />
score point. A maximum <strong>of</strong> ten score points can be achieved in this section <strong>of</strong> the test.<br />
