Health promotion and exercise science students
regularly sponsor a wide variety of health-related
community activities in the Danbury area.

programs is rigorous. Student teachers, for
instance, log many long hours of classroom time
before sitting for assessment exams and certification.
Nurses spend months in hospital settings
in order to advance to the level of responsibility
and expertise demanded by the job.

students consistently achieve one of the
highest pass rates in the state on the nursing
board exam and our social work graduates are
often eligible for advanced standing in graduate
schools that offer a master’s in social work.
