happens on the outside of the fi gure 8.
There are also facinating give-away patterns based on the idea of the the pass happening in the
middle of the pattern. Draw the illustrations for this.
5 person patterns.
5p 3 2 8 3p 4 2 5
3 4p 3 2 7 3 4p 4 2 4
3 2 3p 3 2 6 3 2 3p 4 2 3
3 3 2p 3 2 5 3 3 2p 4 2 2
3 4 1p 3 2 4 3 4 1p 4 2
It would be good to draw out the rest of these. would it be easier to read these with all the numbers
in?
Also 5 person give aways if they work. When i sketched these the levels of augmentation of both
passes ended up being the same but the passing order was different which perhaps is a case of
exeptional patterns?
Give aways below
3 3 5p 4 2 5 5p 4 2 5
3 4 4p 4 2 4 3 4p 4 2 4
3 5 3p 4 2 3 3 2 3p 4 2 3
3 6 2p 4 2 2 3 3 2p 4 2 2
3 7 1p 4 2 3 4 1p 4 2
So presumably the faster give away work:
33p 4 233p 4 2
Weaves
There is an nice way of turning passing patterns into feed weaves. This is an extension of an idea
we developed a few years ago of turning solo siteswap juggling patterns into feed weaves. See
“Siteswap Weaves” The basic concept is the same, but the resulting pattern will have as many
feedees as the source pattern has jugglers.
So for example if we take a 2 person 3 object pattern the resulting pattern will have 2 feeders and
3 feedees. The classic mister In and mister out pattern can be thought of as 1.5p! The fast twister is
3p1.So this becomes an easy way of quickly generating complicated feed/weaves.
