UV Cold Foil<br />
Adhesives<br />
In addition to UV curing printing inks and lacquers<br />
<strong>Zeller+Gmelin</strong> has also developed specialities such as<br />
adhesive systems for cold foil transfer with excellent<br />
results in print finishing. Cold foil adhesives from<br />
<strong>Zeller+Gmelin</strong> enable new variations with the combination<br />
of metallic effects in UV offset printing.<br />
Due to sharp-edged prints and very good adhesion to<br />
foil and substrate, fine structures, halftone gradations,<br />
font types and large surface areas are realizable<br />
register-true.<br />
UV Narrow Web<br />
• UVALUX ® U0821<br />
UV curing cold foil adhesive for UV offset printing/<br />
letterpress on narrow web machines.<br />
UV Sheetfed <strong>Offset</strong><br />
• UVALUX ® U0830<br />
UV curing, yellow dyed cold foil adhesive for gold foils.<br />
• UVALUX ® U0831<br />
UV curing, grey dyed cold foil adhesive for silver foils.<br />
• UVALUX ® U0832<br />
UV curing, grey dyed cold foil adhesive for silver<br />
foils. With a higher viscosity as U0831 for strong<br />
absorbent substrates.<br />
Properties<br />

• very stable in the ink duct, even with high print runs<br />
• dyeing for easy positioning and control of order<br />
quantities<br />
Low Migration<br />
Low migration UV adhesive systems are officially still<br />
under development stage. On request these UV adhesive<br />
systems are readily available for tests.<br />

dyed for silver foils.<br />
