Cuttlefish are a Mollusc of the<br />
type Cephalopoda which<br />
means feet coming out of the<br />
head. Like their cousins Squid<br />
and Octopus they are very<br />
clever at camouflage and can<br />
change colour to blend in with<br />
their surroundings.<br />
They have an internal shell<br />
which is very light because it<br />
is made up of tiny air filled<br />
compartments which help<br />
them to go up and down in the<br />
water. These white foamy<br />
shells can often be found<br />
washed up on the beach like<br />
the one on the left side of the<br />
detail below.
