12. Fuse the cut flower appliqué right side up onto the center of the pillow front. 13. With narrow, close machine zig-zag stitches, sew around the cut edge of the flower appliqué. 14. Right sides together, place pillow back onto front. Stitch together with a ½” seam allowance, leaving a large opening on one side for inserting the pillow form. 15. Trim excess fabric from corners. G REEN O MBRE P ILLOW Materials for green ombre pillow with 2 ribbons: • ½ yd. green Ombre fabric for front of pillow • 15” square of green Guinea Flowers fabric for back of pillow • 1 yd. 7/8” green/brown Guinea Flower ribbon • 1 ½ yd. 1 ½” green Plink ribbon • ruler and rotary cutter • 5/8” and 7/8” lightweight iron-on fabric adhesive tape (optional) • coordinating thread • sewing machine, iron and usual sewing supplies • 14” pillow insert Instructions: 1. To create patterns for the front triangles, cut a 16 ½” square of paper. Divide the square into 4 equal sized triangles by drawing two straight lines from opposite corners, intersecting in the center. Mark the center top of all the triangles with an “X”.
