<strong>Pokémon</strong> Knock Out opposing <strong>Pokémon</strong> by using attacks or Abilities. To power their attacks, <strong>Pokémon</strong> need Energy cards.<br />
The <strong>Pokémon</strong> TCG has 9 Energy types, and you will find <strong>Pokémon</strong> matching all 9 types in the game.<br />
Each Energy type powers different attacks. Find the ones that match your personality! The Energy types are the following:<br />
GRAss<br />
Grass <strong>Pokémon</strong> often have attacks that heal themselves or<br />
Poison their opponents.<br />
LiGHTninG<br />
Lightning <strong>Pokémon</strong> can bring back used Energy from the<br />
discard pile—and they can Paralyze opponents.<br />
DARKness<br />
Darkness <strong>Pokémon</strong> feature sneaky attacks that often make<br />
opponents discard cards!<br />
fiRe<br />
Fire <strong>Pokémon</strong> have big attacks! They can Burn their<br />
opponents, but their attacks need time to build up again.<br />
PsyCHiC<br />
Psychic <strong>Pokémon</strong> are great for special powers! Their<br />
opponents often find themselves Asleep, Confused,<br />
or Poisoned.<br />
MeTAL<br />
Metal <strong>Pokémon</strong> can resist attacks for longer than most<br />
other <strong>Pokémon</strong>.<br />

Colorless <strong>Pokémon</strong> have lots of different moves, and they<br />
work with any kind of deck.
