‘Shrujan’ was developed by Chandaben for promoting assured livelihood<br />
and self-respect among rural women <strong>of</strong> Kutcha, who were highly skilled in<br />
traditional embroidery work.<br />
Pujya Kaka developed a participative approach which involved people as well<br />
as government agencies. This, in turn, created a local committee <strong>of</strong> participants<br />
who implemented the programmes.<br />
A clinical approach was taken, which involved the diagnosis <strong>of</strong> a problem, a<br />
prescription for its solution and its implementation. The programmes were<br />
planned taking into consideration the local requirement and involved the use<br />
<strong>of</strong> modern technology.
