When deciding a split salary or an overseas salary arrangement, the main consideration is discharge of tax liability in India From a regulatory perspective, the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) allows payment of full/part salary out of India or alternatively, remittance of tax paid salary to an offshore jurisdiction.
