How exactly do you send plants out?<br />
Our mail order team are always at pains to pack plants carefully so as to arrive in the best<br />
condition. We shake the soil from the hostas, gently wrap the roots to keep the moisture in<br />
and then enclose in good quality newspaper, each plant clearly labelled. Some hostas we keep<br />
in the cooler and send out bare root even when hostas in the garden are in full leaf. These<br />
bareroot hostas will soon come into leaf when planted out. We then box them up and send<br />
them with Royal Mail in the first class post or, for the larger parcels, with our couriers APC on<br />
a guaranteed next day service. Larger quantities can be delivered by our hauliers to any part<br />
of the country either on a lorry or, if access is a bit tricky, on pallets. All of our parcels above<br />
1.75 kg can be tracked to your door.<br />
We pack most days from January until the end of October, so if you have a particular<br />
requirement regarding delivery, then please call us and discuss it - we’re always delighted to<br />
hear from you. If you wish to send hostas as a present, we are happy to send the parcel directly<br />
to another address for you.<br />
What size plants do you sell from this catalogue?<br />
Mostly from 1litre pots, or slightly smaller for the miniature or small varieties. Occasionally, a<br />
brand new plant can also be a little small, but we are confident that all plants despatched from<br />
us will make a good hosta in year 1. We do not send plugs.<br />
How do you accept orders?<br />
By post using the order form at the back of the catalogue, by telephone, by e mail, or on line<br />
through our secure e commerce website designed to be nice and easy with very few clicks.<br />
What forms of payment do you accept?<br />
The vast majority of our customers prefer to use credit cards. We accept all major credit and<br />
debit cards and also paypal.<br />
We are also happy to receive cheques, and if you are at the nursery, cash of course.<br />
