The Isle of Purbeck is a wonderful area of natural beauty full of
creative people. The Purbeck Art Weeks Festival celebrates this
diversity of artistic expression with a fortnight of art exhibitions,
lectures, films, concerts, plays, children’s competitions, poetry
readings and other more informal events at the PAWF fringe. Our
visual artists are all drawn from the Purbeck area, but our events
artists can come from much further afield. Many are internationally
famous and you will find much to tempt you in our Festival
programme. However we cannot provide such rich fare without
financial support.
With your support we can celebrate local and international talent
including:
• Workshops and events for young people;
• Organising exciting and leading edge events embracing a wider
range of art forms including those at the boundaries that might be
experimental and innovative;
• Inviting high quality performers from outside Purbeck to join us
and help our local schools and young artists.
We invite you to donate at least £50 per year for family
membership (parents plus children) or £30 per year for
individual membership as a Friend of PAW. As a charity we can
both claim tax relief on this donation. So your
generosity can benefit us even more. In return we can offer
you:
• A preview of our plans for the next PAW Festival and an ability to
contribute ideas and together shape the future of our exciting
Festival;
• Advance notice of all PAW Festival events so you can plan ahead;
we will also let you know of events outside our main end May/early
June season;
• Information on special events that may only be open to Friends;
• Advance information about all PAW Festival events before general
booking opens so you can be guaranteed a seat at events where
numbers are limited;
• An invitation to a free opening reception and exhibition;
• Recognition (if you agree) via your name appearing in the PAW
Brochure and on our website;
• The knowledge that your donation will have helped support events
and the involvement of young people that otherwise would not
have been possible
