3. A Per Scout Sales Goal—based on the established annual plan and budget that a Scout family<br />

must reach to have their entire program paid for with no out-<strong>of</strong>-pocket expenses. A comprehensive<br />

communication plan to the parents and <strong>Scouts</strong> outlines the entire program year in a menu format<br />

that highlights the activities the parents and <strong>Scouts</strong> have planned for their year. This plan will also<br />

lay out the clear expectations <strong>of</strong> parental involvement in the various aspects <strong>of</strong> the program which<br />

will include the need for leaders, committee members, and activity help.<br />

4. Raising the Money Needed to Fund and Execute your Program—Funding their entire program<br />

year through the sale <strong>of</strong> popcorn in the beginning <strong>of</strong> their program year (August/September time<br />

frame). The goal is to raise ALL <strong>of</strong> the money needed in the popcorn sale.<br />

Friday, September 14th Show and Sell orders are picked up at the council distribution sites<br />

Saturday, October 20th Mid-Sale Rally<br />

Friday, October 26th Show & Sell popcorn return deadline<br />

Tuesday, October 30th Last day to place unit Take Order popcorn & Unit Prize Orders on<br />

www.trails-end.com<br />

Friday, November 16th Units pick up popcorn & begin distribution to customers<br />

Friday, November 30th Popcorn money due to council service centers for the extra 1%<br />

commission for balances paid in full (includes payment for Show and<br />

Sell and Take Order, can be a unit check, less commission, and may<br />

be turned in earlier at a council <strong>of</strong>fice).<br />

Friday, December 7th Popcorn money due to council service centers by 5 p.m. (Includes<br />

payment for Show and Sell and Take Order, can be a unit check, less<br />

commission, and may be turned in earlier at the council <strong>of</strong>fice).<br />

Saturday, December 8th The commission for the Scouting unit is reduced by 10% for balances not<br />

paid in full (includes payment for Show and Sell and Take Order, can<br />

be a unit check, less commission, and may be turned in earlier at a<br />

council <strong>of</strong>fice).<br />
