<strong>The</strong> Communion.<br />

Ble±ed be the man that p°ouideth fo° the ƒicke and<br />

nedy, the lo°de ƒhall deliuer hym, in the tyme <strong>of</strong> trouble.<br />

Where there be Clerkes, thei ƒhall ƒyng one, o° many <strong>of</strong> the<br />

ƒentences aboue written, acco°dyng to the length and ƒho°tene±e <strong>of</strong><br />

the tyme, that the people be <strong>of</strong>feryng.<br />

In the meane time, whyles the Clerkes do ƒyng the Offerto°y, ƒo<br />

many as are diƒpoƒed, ƒhall <strong>of</strong>fer vnto the poo°e mennes boxe<br />

euery one acco°dynge to his habilitie and charitable mynde. And<br />

at the <strong>of</strong>feryng daies appoynted: euery manne and woman ƒhall<br />

paie to the Curate, the due and accu¥omed <strong>of</strong>ferynges.<br />

<strong>The</strong>n ƒo manye as ƒhalbe partakers <strong>of</strong> the holy Communion,<br />

ƒhall tary ¥ill in the quire, o° in ƒome conuenient place, nigh the<br />

quire, the men on the one ƒide, and the women on the other ƒyde.<br />

All other (that mynde not to receiue the ƒaid holy Communion)<br />

ƒhall departe out <strong>of</strong> the quire, except the mini¥ers and Clerkes.<br />

Than ƒhall the mini¥er take ƒo muche Bread and Wine, as<br />

ƒhalt ƒuffice fo° the perƒons appoynted to receiue the holy<br />

Communion, laiyng the b°eade vpon the co°po°as, o° els in the<br />

paten, o° in ƒome other comely thyng, p°epared fo° that purpoƒe.<br />

And puttyng ye wyne into the Chalice, o° els in ƒome faire o°<br />

conuenient cup, p°epared fo° that vƒe (if the Chalice will not<br />

ƒerue), puttyng thereto a litle pure and cleane water: And ƒettyng<br />

both the b°eade and wyne vpon the Alter: then the Prie¥ ƒhall<br />

ƒaye.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Lo°de be with you.<br />

And with thy ƒpirite.<br />

Lift vp your heartes.<br />

Aunƒwere.<br />

We lift them vp vnto the Lo°de.<br />

Let vs geue thankes to our Lo°de God.<br />
