Opportunities for Leadership, Responsibility and Teamwork Our Sixth Formers play a full and valuable role in the main school. There are many opportunities and positions of responsibilities for the girls to enjoy, for example: • Head girl, Deputy Head girl, Senior Prefects • House and Vice House Captains • Peer mentors • School Orchestras and Ensembles • Theatrical productions • Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme • Amnesty International • A variety of school clubs are led by Sixth Formers Extra-Curricular activities exclusively for Sixth Formers • Young Enterprise Scheme • Envision Community Project
Pastoral Guidance and Support Students are assigned to tutor groups which meet on a daily basis. The tutorial programme is built around individual guidance on academic progress, degree and career choices and personal development. Sixth Form tutors are experienced and committed. Each year group has their own Pupil Achievement Leader who is responsible for the students’ day to day pastoral care and monitoring of their academic progress. The Head of Sixth Form oversees a comprehensive university admissions programme which provides individual guidance and support .
